A DREAM
Inspired by Copenhagen
Inspired by a coffee and almond croissant, sat in one of Copenhagen's many cafes. MOR, the Danish word for Mother, is the name of our sourdough starter. MOR was founded by David who was driven by his passion for baking and his love of the bold and flavourful.
The
Lockdown Bakery
Due to open our doors in Stratford-upon-Avon in March 2020, lockdown was announced. Plans were changed and adaptation became our way of being. We diversified into providing baked goods and essentials from our hatch and delivered to homes. A visit to the hatch became a regular feature in the rituals of our local community. The wait to open our doors was made worth it that late Summer when we were warmed and energised by being able to share our inside space.
expansion
In 2021 it became clear that capacity of our much loved Stratford space needed to be increased to feed the hunger for our bread and knowledge. Our offerings at Chipping Campden and Chipping Norton were established.
THE MOVE INTO
MOR HQ
MOR HQ is our bakery headquarters. The place where the magic starts. A place to bake, meet and share knowledge.
The move to Campden was filled with many long days orchestrating building work and nights spent baking.
After many delays the hard work paid off and we can now share our knowledge from the dedicated cookery school which overlooks the production bakery and cafe.

Chipping Norton
We stumbled upon 4 West Street, a chance encounter with a beautiful space. The perfect spot for a pastry, sitting beneath the giant windows watching the world go by.
We couldn’t miss the opportunity to move into the space and bring MOR to this corner of the Cotswolds.
