Viennoiserie can be trained for the right candidate who is a skilled cake baker and decorator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create items with innovative flavor combinations and eye-catching presentation
  • Manage the production of savoury and sweet goods, ensuring consistency and quality in every batch
  • Train and supervise junior pastry staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality work
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety protocols
  • Collaborate with the head baker and kitchen team to develop new menu items
  • Order and manage inventory of supplies, ensuring a sufficient stock of ingredients for production

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a pastry chef
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including laminated doughs, yeast-based doughs, and pastry cream
  • A passion for creativity and experimenting with new flavor combinations
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and supervise junior staff

We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our established and friendly kitchen team.

The ideal candidate will be able to work at pace, use their own initiative to manage the daily tasks and have a sense of pride in their work to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard.

This is not a customer facing role, but is really key to the continues success of our business. Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace is crucial in a food establishment, it is critical that high standards of cleaning are maintained. The chance to learn and progress in the kitchen will also be a key part for the right candidates.

Our previous Kitchen Assistant is now a Baker.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

+ Ensure the Kitchen is tidy at all times
+ Maintain high standards of personal hygiene
+ Undertake the cleaning schedule as per Food Safety Manual
+Undertake pot wash duties and clean area daily
+ At the end of each shift ensure cleaning schedules have been undertaken and cleaning forms signed
+ Ensure the Kitchen is left clean and tidy. All bins to be emptied at the end of each shift
+ Undertake statutory training as directed by the Chef
+ Any other reasonable instruction from the Chef or Bakers, which is within your area of competence.

Previous experience is desired but not essential as full training will be provided.

A positive 'can-do' approach is a must.

Tips are paid weekly.

Description:

To ensure prompt and efficient delivery of baked goods to customers while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of baked goods in a safe and secure manner.
  • Delivering orders to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintaining proper documentation of deliveries, including delivery reports and receipts.
  • Communicating effectively with customers and answering their questions in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Keeping the delivery vehicle clean, well-maintained, and in good working order.
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations and following safe driving practices.
  • Communicating any issues or problems with deliveries to the bakery team.
  • Performing regular vehicle inspections and reporting any necessary maintenance or repair work to the bakery management.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.

You will be working alongside a small team within the unit & would be responsible for production of key products to include Sausage rolls, buns etc

You will help with food preparation and maintaining food safety standards whilst coordinating with other departments. It's a fast passed environment with large volumes so you will need to work efficiently and in a timely fashion to meet the planned volumes.

No previous food production experience is required as full training will be provided.
